Health is a state of body.
Wellness is a state of being.
Recognition is the first step to change.
Life can be difficult and stressful. We may experience situations and emotions that we cannot make sense of, alongside a whole host of
feelings, which may include feeling lost, isolated, confused, anxious, stressed, angry or even fearful and terrified. It may be unresolved past trauma which may be affecting your present life. It can feel easier to bottle up our emotions in order to seem to be coping. However, in the long-term, suppressing emotions can have an impact on both emotional and physical health. Experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, anger, frustration and ill health can be a good indicator that something is wrong.
How can we move forward when we have lost all sense of purpose and meaning?
How can we make sense of something we cannot understand?
Counselling can be a way of valuing your body and mind balance, helping to restore emotional wellness. It provides us with the opportunity to focus on a specific issue or difficult period in our lives, helping to uncover and explore the root causes of any concerns and difficulties, improving mental clarity and understanding, from which may come acceptance for the past, and change in the present and for the future. My aim as a counsellor is to use my skills to help you work through any issues you may have or a difficult period in your life that you are struggling with. To help you find acceptance, become self-aware, empowered and restore your sense of wellbeing.
Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life…

There is no obligation to commit to ongoing therapy unless you feel ready and comfortable to do so. I am based in central Farnham and provide a safe, supportive, accepting and confidential environment. The length and focus of work varies according to individual needs and circumstances.
